Sunset Learning Centre was established on December 2009 with 4 teachers and 50 students. Sunset is a night school that opens from 5 PM to 7 PM, originally established inside a factory to provide education for the employees.

As with the other night schools, most of older youth who attend work during the day.  Also enrolled are some younger children who attend migrant learning centres during the day and a small number who attend Thai schools. For Burmese children attending Thai schools, Sunset provides the opportunity to engage with the Myanmar curriculum and keep their further education and employment options open whether they return to Myanmar/Burma or remain in Thailand. A small group of Thai children also attend Sunset in the evening, in addition to their regular Thai daytime education. Their parents recognize the high standard of education provided by Sunset, and they also value the acquisition of a second language for their children.

((Later, in order to accommodate the growing number of children wanting to come to the school, and to save on rent, it was moved into slightly larger premises which are both home and workplace for the school staff.

Visitors to Sunset are usually struck by the warm atmosphere, the dynamic teaching and the ability of the staff to cater for diverse groups of learners.)) <removed>
